"Over the last 12 years with our Labour government we have saved the National Health Service, invested heavily in Education and saved everyone’s savings when the world banking system was on the point of collapse. But we have to project a strong vision of why our future is better than that being touted by Cameron if we are to keep moving forward. The short event will give you a chance to add your views, question the politicians, and learn about the campaigning we will be doing in the run up to the General Election. We know your time is valuable, but come along and we can assure you you will feel it is time well spent".

A great chance for all members to get their voice heard.

5 JUNE 2009

Mixed results from the county council elections, here in Worcester. There is no doubt that we have, as usual, bucked the national trend here; however, the national trend is very very poor for Labour.

We have lost the Rainbow Hill and Nunnery county council seats, with long-standing colleagues Jo Hodges and Rob Peachey being beaten by Tories. Rob and Jo are both experienced, long serving, passionate county councillors, and they will be very much missed.

Richard Udall held on to St John's. Alan Amos held Gorse Hill Warndon for Labour. Congratulations to them both.

27 MAY 2009

Ann Black of the National Executive Committee will attend our June GC, from 7.30 on Monday 8 June at the Guildhall.

Just days after the elections, this will be a unique opportunity to hear Ann's thoughts on election results, the state of the Party and MP expenses, and there will be chance for a question-and-answer session.
