Disabled Parking in Worcester City

Worcester's Labour Councillors forced a Tory u-turn on disabled parking at Council on Tuesday. The Tories rejected our proposal to reinstate disabled parking in St Swithin's Street but did concede 5 disabled parking spaces in the Cornmarket car park and an 'urgent review' of disabled parking in Worcester.

I proposed Labour's motion to reinstate disabled parking in St Swithin's Street, and was scathing in my attack on Simon Geraghty, Leader Of Worcester City Council, who took the decision to do away with disabled parking without consulting any disabled groups at all!

Labour turned Tory Marc Bayliss accused me of 'playing the man not the ball' but in this case, the man is the ball because he was the one who took the decision!

Worcester's Tories are so unbelievably out of touch with the reality of people's lives.
